Trying to ensure high levels of quality meat and excellent value for money offered we purchase animals from producers in the wider region of Peloponnese and other parts of Greece, targeting breeds of animals with high meat production.

The transport of animals either from the producers or from the premises of the company to the slaughterhouses is carried out by our own transport fleet. The slaughter is conducted under the supervision of the company's personnel in the cooperating standard industrial slaughterhouses that also meet its requirements.

Fresh meat is stored in Koutsopodi in the modern storage facilities of the company, refrigeration (<-2ο C) and freezing (-18o C). During the production process, the food quality assurance team follows practices of proper reception and storage of meat and materials B. All the above contribute to ensuring the level of products quality provided and to the continuous control until the sale of the final product.

The company provides:

  • Approved operating code with the ID: GR Α557 EU (Meat slicing and standardization facilities and production of meat products refrigerated - frozen).
  • Production code of heat process: IMP 697.
  • Modern refrigeration temperature monitoring systems.
  • Traceability system of business products and goods. Installed traceability software enables tracking of imported batches throughout the production, storage and processing flow up to sale. At the same time, it allows the storage of files for any inspection or deal of a critical situation. Risk management scenarios carried out by the company have demonstrated the effectiveness of the software. The packaged products of the company provide information on the type, weight, expiry date and origin of the meat. The unique code provided by the system makes it easy to track a product. The staff constantly trained, manages the system and can provide any information requested during both internal and external audits.
  • Food Safety Management System according to ISO 22000: 2018 which includes all the procedures: reception of meat, production and distribution of products, but also the evaluation of suppliers’ materials A and B, while laboratory controls ensure the safety of products.

In a particularly difficult and competitive environment, the direct value for money has remained an unchanging goal and in order for the company name to be identified with the provision of high quality and safe products, its policy consists of the following principles:

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Heavy slaughterhouse category production of lambs. In 2020, in the facilities of Lyrkeia, collaborating with the Agricultural University of Athens, an innovative research project was launched aiming at the production of fresh lambs that meet the emerging trends of market demand, in the emergence of viable alternatives, such as processing and standardization of sheep meat, on the research, development and utilization of the dynamics of lamb meat for the production of innovative and quality products with distinct quality and organoleptic characteristics. For the first time, this program investigates the possibility of introducing and standardizing innovative fattening procedures for domestic lambs aiming at producing heavy slaughterhouse meat and standardizing meat pieces.
  • Formation of new standard products. Collaborating with specialized outsourcing partners, innovative products are investigated, which cover special requirements regarding the new nutritional needs (gluten-free products, salt, etc.).
  • Constant modernization of mechanical equipment.
